Our client is a prominent player in the Food and Beverage sector.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, draft, and negotiate various commercial contracts and legal documents, including leases, service agreements, construction contracts, franchise agreements, and supplier agreements.
  • Oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance and reporting, including matters related to Modern Slavery, Privacy, and Whistleblowing, while staying informed on relevant regulatory changes affecting the business.
  • Manage corporate governance and company secretarial duties.
  • Stay abreast of significant international and local legal developments.
  • Enhance knowledge and provide training to stakeholders regarding laws and regulations, ensuring adherence to internal policies.
  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Managing Director for A&NZ, proactively assisting management and stakeholders in understanding rights and obligations to mitigate legal risks and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the APAC and Group Legal teams to ensure alignment with the country’s legal agenda.
  • Maintain organized records, including filing and managing a database of documents and contracts.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a reputable law firm or in-house experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate and commercial law, consumer law, and property and construction law.
  • Strong business acumen with extensive experience in contract negotiation, review, and drafting.
  • Proven experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including procurement contracts, service agreements, consultancy agreements, memorandums of understanding, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in clear and straightforward language to various audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively in remote settings.
