Youth Mental Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team in the Northern Sydney region. As a clinician on our Youth Response Team, you will provide after-hours rapid crisis response to young people in suicidal distress within their community.
About the RoleThis is a permanent full-time position that involves working collaboratively with our team to deliver recovery-oriented and trauma-informed clinical care to young people who are in suicidal crisis. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing crisis response, psychosocial support, safety planning, and recovery/wellness planning for young people in need
- Collaborating with local services to provide further and ongoing support to young people
- Delivering support that aligns with the principles of step up/step down care, including making referrals to community-based services as needed
- Working autonomously with minimal clinical direct supervision, utilising your extensive specialist knowledge on clinical care of a suicidal person

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Recognised qualifications in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, or Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership of AASW
- Demonstrated post-graduate clinical experience in mental health
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
