We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Youth Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at headspace Campbelltown.

\

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified mental health professional to work with young people aged 12-25, providing early intervention through assessment, brief interventions, and care coordination.

\

As a Youth Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for young people, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to connect them with the right supports across mental health, physical health, education/employment, and substance use.

\

In this role, you will balance clinical engagement, collaborative care planning, and community outreach in a fast-paced, youth-friendly environment.

\

About the Role

  • To provide clinical mental health services to young people aged 12-25 years who have mental health, alcohol and other drug problems.
  • To undertake assessment/screening of clients and their carers, and develop understanding/knowledge of determining care needs and assist clients to access necessary services.
  • To work effectively with young people, families/carers, professionals, and external agencies.

Requirements

  • Rlevant Tertiary Qualifications (Allied Health or counselling Disciplines)
  • Fully registered health professional with mental health experience
  • Current and valid Working with Children Clearance
