Data Centre Growth Strategist

A global leader in critical infrastructure technologies and services seeks a highly motivated Business Development Manager to drive exponential growth. The role involves acquiring new business, selling innovative infrastructure solutions to data centre consultants, developers, partners, and end-users.
The primary focus is on expanding market presence and managing key relationships to drive long-term business growth. Key responsibilities include new business acquisition, relationship management, sales strategy development, presentations and proposals, market analysis, account management, networking, and collaboration.
Key qualifications include 5+ years of business development or sales experience in the data centre or related industry, a proven track record of acquiring new business, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to travel.
The company offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 AUD per annum, performance-based bonuses, car allowance, and carrier growth opportunities in Australia, APAC, or globally.
Job Description- New Business Acquisition: Identify and target potential business opportunities in the data centre market.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with data centre consultants, developers, partners, and end-users.
- Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and proposals.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Account Management: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
- Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal technical, product, and support teams.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of business development or sales experience in the data centre or related industry.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in acquiring new business and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Network: Existing relationships within the data centre consultancy, development, or ownership space is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the region as required.
