Join Cloudera, a leading data platform company, as a Senior Solutions Architect in our ANZ Professional Services team. We are seeking an experienced professional to design and implement scalable solutions for complex data problems using Cloudera, Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, and related Big Data technologies.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled architect with 10+ years of experience in IT and System Architecture, and 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, designing and deploying large-scale storage, data centre, and globally distributed solutions. You will work directly with customers to design and implement Big Data solutions at scale using the Cloudera Data Platform and Cloudera Data Services.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop massively scalable solutions to solve complex data problems using Cloudera, Hadoop, NiFi, Spark, and related Big Data technologies.
  • Work closely with Cloudera's teams at all levels to help ensure the success of project consulting engagements with customers.
  • Analyse complex distributed production deployments, and make recommendations to optimise performance.
  • Able to document and present complex architectures for the customers' technical teams.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years in Information Technology and System Architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of Professional Services (customer-facing) experience architecting large-scale storage, data centre, and/or globally distributed solutions.
  • 5+ years designing and deploying 3-tier architectures or large-scale Cloudera/Hadoop solutions.
  • Ability to understand big data use-cases and recommend standard design patterns commonly used in Hadoop-based and streaming data deployments.
