
Field Equipment Specialist

This is a full-time field-based role that requires mechanically-minded individuals to deliver quality service to customers while performing scheduled maintenance and safety checks.
The job involves servicing and repairing material handling equipment in a dedicated territory and customer base, helping the company build positive customer experiences. The successful candidate will be required to utilize the latest field-based mobile technology to manage their daily work schedule.
A key aspect of this role is managing inventory on the company allocated service van and customer sites, ensuring a professional level of service is delivered. The ideal candidate will gain experience working with Australia's top-tier customer base and join the leading forklift service business in Australia.
Additionally, the successful candidate will complete an initial 8-week onboarding and industry-leading training program. They will perform routine maintenance and complete service work, both reactive and planned. Accurate service records of work will also need to be maintained.

Typical Tasks and Duties:
This role involves:
- Conducting customer-focused scheduled and breakdown services
- Assisting in preparing field-based quotes for customers
- Recording notes and filing service records properly
- Providing high-level customer service and support
- Accessing industry-leading training and development, including opportunities to train less experienced technicians
- Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, including emerging technologies
- Staying informed about industry trends, new products, and services
- Partnering with the company to maximize additional sales and services
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Prior experience as a forklift mechanic or service technician (highly regarded but not essential)
- Ability to perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
