High-Tech Field Service Specialist

This role plays a vital part in the company's growth and success by delivering top-notch service to customers while performing scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs.

  1. Servicing and repairing material handling equipment in a dedicated territory and customer base – enhance customer experiences
  2. Utilize cutting-edge field-based mobile technology to manage daily work schedules
  3. Manage inventory on allocated service vans & customer sites - deliver professional services
  4. Gain experience working with Australia's top-tier customer base
  5. Join the leading forklift service business in Australia – the largest in the country
  6. Complete an initial 8-week training program covering industry-leading practices
  7. Perform routine maintenance & complete service work – reactive & planned
  8. Maintain accurate service records of work completed

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Conduct customer-focused scheduled and breakdown services
  2. Assist in preparing field-based quotes for customers
  3. Record notes and file service records properly
  4. Provide high-level customer service and support
  5. Access industry-leading training and development, including opportunities to train less experienced technicians
  6. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge, including emerging technologies
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and services
  8. Partner with the organization to maximize additional sales and services

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a forklift mechanic or service technician is highly regarded but not essential
  • Able to perform scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and repairs
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
