About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transport Officer to join our team at the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. As a Patient Transport Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services in rural and remote areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and interventions on-road to ensure safe and effective transportation.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and treatment during on-road transport, adhering to RFDS MPC guidelines and NEPT regulations.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with patients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Assess the effectiveness of interventions and maintain an understanding of RFDS MPC policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and transportation services.
Requirements
  • Qualified as a Patient Transport Officer (PTO) with a minimum of a Cert III in Non-emergency Patient Transport.
  • Experience working in the NEPT sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Hold a FULL Victorian Drivers licence and have a satisfactory driving history report.
  • Availability to work shifts across 7 days.

Mandatory Vaccination Policy

  • Annual Influenza
  • COVID-19 (2 vaccinations + booster)
