About the Role

Head Medical is seeking a highly skilled Anaesthetist Specialist to join our team in a regional Victorian hospital. As a key member of our Anaesthetic Unit, you will provide exceptional anaesthetic services to patients, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of medical officers and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist-level anaesthetic services, ensuring patient care is centred, safe, and timely.
  • Foster relationships with colleagues and other hospital specialists, promoting a collaborative team environment.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and teaching of junior medical staff, contributing to the development of our team.
  • Participate actively in audits, clinical meetings, and safety activities, driving quality improvement and patient safety.

Requirements

  • Be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent, as an overseas-trained specialist who has completed their training in the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABA certified), or New Zealand.
