The Role


As an IT Infrastructure Lead - Storage and Networking Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational administration and maintenance of SBS's Network and Storage environments.


You will apply proven best practice communications and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the immediate Infrastructure team and the technology department on issues related to the design and deployment of networking and storage systems.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Implementing, developing, documenting, testing, and maintaining LAN and WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewall solutions.
  • Maintaining the underlying storage platforms and ensuring they are managed in line with best practice processes that cover monitoring, reporting, performance, capacity, availability, and security management.
  • Leading the Transformation/Migration to cloud requirements for the Network and Storage team.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A degree in computer science or other technical discipline, or comparable qualifications.
  • Operational experience and proficiency in Cisco networking.
  • Cisco CCNA certification.
  • Knowledge of RIP and BGP protocols.
  • Familiarity with SDN & SDDC technologies and their applications.
  • Solid Routing and Switching skills.
  • Operational experience with backup solutions, especially Veeam and Commvault.
  • Operational experience with Data Replication, snapshots, and Virtualisation Technology (VMWare).
  • Familiarity with L4-7 services integration in a data centre environment.
