Geotechnical Expertise Required

We are seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Specialist to collaborate with our experienced team of experts in Perth. This role offers a balance of technical work, project management, leadership and client-facing problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to the delivery of projects, including risk identification and management, ensuring high technical standards.
  • To perform geotechnical analyses in areas such as deep excavations, slope stability, foundations, retaining walls, and pavement designs.
  • To analyze data to develop and implement practical and commercial solutions.
  • To interact with clients through pursuit, tendering, and delivery phases of projects.
  • To provide technical mentoring for junior team members to build their skills.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualifications in geotechnical/geological/civil engineering; postgraduate qualifications beneficial.
  • A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in geotechnical consulting, including fieldwork and site investigation reporting.
  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and advice abilities.
  • Experience with geotechnical analysis software, numerical modeling, and prioritization/co-ordination skills.
  • Focus on client service, people relationships, and networking skills.
  • Commitment to Health and Safety procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management skills for large or sophisticated projects.
  • Willingness to travel and work on remote sites.
