About This Role

This role involves working across sustaining capital projects, including heavy haul rail projects and mine developments. You will work office-based, with a heavy fieldwork component, alongside a supportive team with a strong focus on client relationships and delivery.

  • Undertake field and office-based assignments under senior engineer guidance, ensuring tasks are completed to quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in geotechnical design preparation, technical report writing, specifications, and engineering drawings for high-quality project deliverables.
  • Interpret field and laboratory data to support geotechnical model development and design recommendations.
  • Coordinate accurate entry, validation, and management of geotechnical data within project databases, ensuring integrity and traceability.
  • Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports and documentation, delivering outputs on schedule with review and mentorship from senior team members.
About You
  • Relevant degree (Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering etc)
  • 2+ years experience working in a Geo role, ideally on mining, rail, or infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to geotechnical data management packages, such as OpenGround, gINT, and GIS applications, such as GlobalMapper
  • Willingness to participate in regular fieldwork
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team-driven environment
  • Strong report writing and excellent communication skills
