The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our team at St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective management of the specialist medical practice, including achieving financial and quality indicators within an environment of person-centred care and in accordance with the ethos, philosophy, mission, values and ethics of St Vincent's Health Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the medical practice, including human resources, planning, and budgeting.
  2. Provide administrative support to the medical practitioners and other staff members.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care and services provided.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  6. Manage practice software packages, including billings, bookings, and medical administration functions.
  7. Prepare medical correspondence and maintain accurate records.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.

Requirements

  1. At least 2 years of experience as a Practice Manager or similar position.
  2. Ability to work on a casual basis.
  3. Proven ability to manage small business/office, including human resources, planning, and budgeting.
  4. Broad-based administrative experience with attention to detail.
  5. Ability to manage practice software packages, including billings, bookings, and medical administration functions.
  6. Knowledge of medical terminology and preparing medical correspondence.
  7. Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members.
  9. Proven organizational skills with the ability to remain focused in a busy environment.
  10. Self-motivated and well-organized, ability to work unsupervised and oversee the management of other Practice staff.
