Operational Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will support clients with their financial obligations, manage the timely delivery of services and work with a team of like-minded professionals to operate an effective finance function for clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients with outsourced financial and reporting obligations
  • Work with our transaction processing team to ensure timely delivery of client services
  • Assist with financial planning and analysis procedures and the preparation of management reports
  • Drive the budgeting, forecasting and analysis process for your portfolio of clients
  • Identify areas of improvement for our clients and assist with the design and implementation of solutions
  • Support the delivery of CFO advisory engagements, including strategic advice and presentations at board meetings
  • Work with national and multinational clients to deliver quality services and support the management team to grow the business through strategic initiatives
  • Perform data analytics and bring insight to client financial information

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in operational finance or public accounting
  • Solid understanding of double-entry accounting
  • Completed or in the process of completing CA or CPA qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels
  • Strong commercial acumen and solid understanding of financial processes
  • Proactive and able to identify and resolve problems, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
