Job Overview

The Management Accountant plays a key role in providing expert accounting advice and services to support the finance strategy and practice of our organisation.

This position requires the successful candidate to apply their knowledge and skills in planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and project costing, as well as transaction management, modelling, financial analysis, reporting, and financial performance monitoring.

  • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets that align with organisational goals
  • Provide specialist advice on financial matters and manage financial risks
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to deliver key initiatives through the implementation and maintenance of existing and new systems, processes, and controls

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to financial planning and strategic goal achievement

Identify opportunities for improvement in financial processes and provide insights on emerging issues and trends relevant to our operations

Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and work effectively independently during budgeting and forecasting processes

Requirements

A Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant qualification or equivalent is essential, along with 8+ years of experience in similar roles

Excellent numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, are required

Experience in business partnering, financial performance monitoring, and project budgeting is highly desirable
