About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Accountant to join our team at Marble Mining. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and management accounting services to our mine site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle month-end reconciliations, prepare financial statements, management reports, BAS, and quarterly reports.
  • Prepare cost journals, accruals, and review project expenditures. Address budget discrepancies with managers.
  • Support payroll, calculate rebates, manage PAYGI, and collate tax information for FBT and R&D.
  • Assist with audits, ensuring compliance and identifying system improvements.
  • Manage cash flow reporting, FX data, fixed assets, and gold sales. Correct transaction errors.
  • Provide financial system support and training, fill in as Commercial Manager, and assist peers when needed.
Requirements
  • Accounting degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience in an accounting position
  • Commitment to safe mining operations
  • Self-motivated, detail and quality focused
  • Well-developed communications and interpersonal skills
  • An innovative thinker who is able to contribute to or lead with new ideas
  • Interest or experience in database management, quality and integrity improvement
