We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Manager to join our team at Hitachi ABB Power Grids. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key accounts and developing business strategies to drive growth and revenue.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management: Manage 7-8 key accounts in target markets, develop business plans to grow the customer base, and implement strategies to achieve company sales goals.
- Value Creation: Ensure a coordinated sales approach, create added value for customers and Hitachi ABB Power Grids, and communicate details in accordance with supply, offering, and strategy.
- Sales Performance: Achieve/exceed sales targets set for the territory/state and country targets, participate in the development of sales strategies for accounts, and ensure their achievement with a structured follow-up.
- Account Planning: Lead the development and implementation of account plans, including designing executive relationship strategies and coverage plans, prioritizing opportunities, and proposing recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.
- Customer Relationships: Establish and develop account relationships based on a defined strategy, act as the focal point for problem resolution, monitor customer claims, plan, facilitate, and conduct customer negotiations, and develop, maintain, and share detailed knowledge of the customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition.
- Sales and Marketing: Sell products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the assigned Business Unit, monitor competitors' activity with each account, and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
- Business Development: Develop a business plan to grow the Hitachi ABB Power Grids customer base and strategies for the market that ensure attainment of company sales goals, ensure that the nominated pursuit management system continues to be used as the primary tool for sales management, and prepare sales plans using company tools.
- Customer Experience: Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, including post-sale, manage administrative procedures in the sales process, support collection and project management activities when needed, and assist in project kickoff meetings and project tracking and management when required.
- Technical and Financial Aspects: Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions, and ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times.
- Qualifications: Tertiary or degree qualifications in Engineering/commercial qualification or recognized equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development in software sales, hold significant sales/business development experience within the electrical industry, and specific experience in the power generation and mining sectors will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge and Skills: Good understanding of Hitachi ABB Power Grids products is highly regarded, local market knowledge is beneficial, natural flair for communication combined with skills in building long-lasting relationships, pro-active self-starter, excellent negotiator, results-oriented, and driven sales professional, and possess a high level of commercial acumen.
