Relocation or DIDO

This position offers the chance to relocate to Northern Central Victoria or DIDO from nearby suburbs. Benefits include:

The Mine

This site is a significant underground hard rock mining operation located in regional Victoria.

  • Promising life-of-mine (LOM) with a strong production forecast.
  • High-grade narrow-vein gold and antimony deposits.
  • Minor ground squeezing and convergence challenges.
  • 4G Telstra coverage available on site.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Superintendent, you will be part of a cohesive finance team, responsible for financial support and management accounting functions. This encompasses cost accounting, financial reporting, and ensuring data accuracy and legal compliance. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting month-end reconciliations, preparing financial statements, management reports, BAS, and quarterly reports.
  • Preparing cost journals, accruals, and reviewing project expenditures while addressing budget discrepancies with managers.
  • Supporting payroll processes, calculating rebates, managing PAYGI, and compiling tax information for FBT and R&D.
  • Assisting with audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for system improvement.
  • Managing cash flow reporting, FX data, fixed assets, and gold sales while correcting transaction errors.
  • Providing financial system support and training, stepping in as Commercial Manager when necessary, and assisting colleagues as needed.
