About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Sustainability Advisor to join our team at AGL. As a key member of our Energy Hubs, Power Development and Construction HSE team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our energy transformation journey.

Based in Docklands VIC, you will work closely with our Energy Hubs development portfolio, collaborating with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of our Climate Transition Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Energy Hubs, Power Development and Construction Teams to develop, implement, and assure strategies, programs, and initiatives that promote sustainability and health and safety.
  • Assist in the development and review of HSE requirements for RFPs and tenders for major construction projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage contractor performance verification and assurance, providing quantitative analysis of trends and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business unit teams to share learnings, offer solutions, and provide assurance/compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Support the delivery of HSE contractor forums for critical contracting engagements, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety, Environment, or a related business discipline; Diploma or above.
  • Experience working with multiple primary contractor projects, including contractor management and tendering principles.
  • Audit and risk management skills, with exposure to leading incident investigations for complex incidents involving high-risk work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with high-quality accurate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven people/stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
