Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Spiritual Care Practitioner to join our team. As a Spiritual Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering holistic care that honours the diverse beliefs, cultures, and traditions of our community.

You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to foster meaningful connections and promote autonomy, dignity, and emotional wellbeing for each resident.

Our ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of spiritual and pastoral care components of palliative care and be able to lead public and informal rituals and services with sensitivity and insight.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Awareness and understanding of diverse cultures, beliefs, practices and traditions
  • Capability in leading public and informal rituals and services
  • Driver's License and a willingness to travel to various sites
  • Knowledge of the process of ageing and dementia awareness
  • Understanding of issues and spiritual needs surrounding grief and loss
  • A thorough understanding of the spiritual and pastoral care components of palliative care
