Electrical Estimating Expertise

This critical role oversees the electrical estimating department's processes and procedures.

  • Responsibilities include:
  • Managing electrical tenders by building and maintaining face-to-face customer relationships with consulting engineers, architects, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Leading work teams and organizing task execution to achieve efficient methods and assign skilled personnel.
  • Identifying changes/variations to specified works in conjunction with the Engineering Team and developing quotations for clients.
  • Delivering tenders/jobs on time while meeting client requirements and expectations.

The role also involves supporting the estimating team by:

  • Overseeing the coordination of bidding process and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of the tender.
  • Reviewing tenders with clients to discuss service options and project objectives.
  • Supporting the estimating team in preparing accurate tenders from conceptual design phases to final estimates.
  • Mentoring the estimating team on process obstacles and concerns, providing timely support for project success.

Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electrical estimating within an electrical contracting organization.
  • Strong data and cost analysis skills for accurate quote formulation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation related to electrical design and construction standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with AutoDesk Construction Cloud and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities for managing multiple tenders accurately.
