As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in promoting great outcomes for our customers by empowering them to maintain an exceptional quality of life.
- You will respect the choice and control of clients, acknowledging their specific gender and cultural requests of support workers.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, manual handling, transportation, shopping, community participation, medication administration, healthcare appointments, domestic assistance, cooking, and meal preparation.
- Preserve decency and privacy while assisting with personal care and personal administration.
- Provide person-centered support using a recovery-focused approach to help customers achieve their goals.
- Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, supervisors, and stakeholders.
- Work independently and as part of a team to support customer needs.
- Respond promptly to concerns regarding risk and customer care, adhering to mandatory reporting guidelines.
- Complete customer documentation, key worker reports, person-centered plans, risk assessments, incident reports, progress notes, and other essential paperwork.
- Collaborate with the Accommodation Manager to identify continuous improvements in customer support needs and service delivery.
