Job Description

As a senior electrical estimator, you will oversee the estimating department's processes and procedures. This includes daily management of the estimating team to ensure that tenders are handled and submitted in alignment with company standards.

The Estimating Manager will lead work teams and identify efficient methods for task execution. They will develop quotations and maintain clear communication with clients and team members. Delivering tenders on time and meeting client requirements and expectations is crucial for success in this role.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will support the estimating team by overseeing the coordination of the bidding process with other business units. You will review tenders with clients to discuss service options and project objectives. You will prepare accurate tenders from conceptual design phases to final estimates. You will also mentor the estimating team on process obstacles and concerns.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing own electrical tenders, including building relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Leading work teams and identifying efficient methods for task execution
  • Developing quotations and keeping clients informed
  • Maintaining clear communication with clients and team members
  • Delivering tenders on time and meeting client requirements and expectations
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in electrical estimating within an electrical contracting organization. Strong data and cost analysis skills for accurate quote and proposal formulation are essential. The ability to interpret technical documentation related to electrical design and construction standards is necessary.

A strong background in MS Office and experience with AutoDesk Construction Cloud, ConEst, and Salesforce is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities, are also essential.

Leadership and mentoring skills, along with a customer-focused approach, are key qualifications for this role.
