Executive Officer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Officer to provide high-level administrative, strategic, and operational support to our Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic monitoring and management of the Executive Director's emails and calendar.
  • Prepare and manage travel itineraries for the Executive Director.
  • Manage the Executive Director's contacts and external communications.
  • Manage Executive meetings by attending and taking minutes.
Internal and External Communications:
  • Build relationships with the offices of corporate and government members.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Partnerships, develop a proactive communication plan for the Executive Director and key external stakeholders.
  • Provide support to track and manage applications for grant funding and sponsorships and liaise with funders with the assistance of the Head of Partnerships.
Event Management Assistance:
  • Assist with the management of major events, including the Lowy Institute Media Award Dinner and major strategic dialogues with overseas partners.

The successful candidate will demonstrate high intelligence and a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be proactive, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally. The ability to write clearly is important, as is a sense of humour.
