Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Operations Executive to oversee the operational delivery of our premier Screen Festival.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years' experience in event operations, preferably in film festivals or live entertainment. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for managing multiple stakeholders, while proven experience in large-scale event procurement and logistics is a must.

The role requires effective negotiation and contracting skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation, and health and safety compliance is also necessary.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating venue hire, technical production, staffing logistics, and managing schedules, approvals, and WHS compliance. They will also build relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and contribute to continuous improvement in festival planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Delivery: Ensure seamless festival experience for talent, distributors, and attendees.
  • Operational Planning: Plan and execute operational elements on time and to high standards.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate procurement, venue hire, technical production, and staffing logistics.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as primary contact for external partners, ensuring smooth delivery of screenings and events.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Event Experience: At least 4 years' experience in event operations, preferably in film festivals or live entertainment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Risk Assessment: Knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation, and health and safety compliance.
