About the Role

We are seeking a talented Communications and Marketing Professional to join our team at Latrobe City Council. As a key member of our Communications and Engagement, and Marketing Departments, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of exciting projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communications and marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and engage with audiences.
  • Manage and enhance our organisation's website, ensuring it remains engaging, informative, and user-friendly.
  • Contribute to the development of online tools and practices to improve community engagement and communication.
  • Handle multiple media requests, providing dynamic and unique content, and prepare speeches for our Mayor and Councillors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our social media strategy to enhance our online presence and engage with our audience effectively.
About You

To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates with the following experience:

  • Journalist / Communications experience: Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft engaging content.
  • Social media experience: Proficiency in leveraging social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and engage with audiences effectively.
  • Website skill set/photography and videography: Experience in website management, along with photography and videography skills to create compelling visual content.
  • Graphic Designers: Proven experience in design, branding and marketing campaigns with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Project advisor/Marketing experience: Demonstrated expertise in project management and marketing strategies, with a focus on driving results and achieving organisational goals.
