We are seeking an experienced road maintenance employee to join our team at Latrobe City Council. As an Experienced Maintenance Employee, you will be responsible for performing a range of asset and infrastructure maintenance activities throughout the Latrobe City municipality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a variety of plant and equipment, including tractors, graders, and excavators, to maintain roads, drainage, and vegetation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing minor repairs.
  • Work safely and efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve high-quality results.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and the public to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current Heavy Rigid Vehicle Licence
  • Current Traffic Control and Worksite Management certificate
  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Competency operating plant and vehicles used in road maintenance
  • Practical experience undertaking road and drainage maintenance and minor civil construction works
  • Possess a basic level of digital literacy
  • Experience working with a Municipal Council or similar authority is desirable
