Burnie, Tasmania is calling for a skilled Hydraulic Cylinder Technician.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for disassembling and inspecting hydraulic cylinders, small pumps, motors, valves, and drive components in our component rebuild shop. You will work on a 5 x 2 (Monday to Friday) roster under the supervision of the Service Supervisor.
Your Key Responsibilities
Disassemble, inspect, and re-assemble hydraulic cylinders with new parts using cylinder benches and other tooling.
Maintain machinery and equipment records within our systems.
Report stock levels of consumables to assist in planning future works.
Attend daily CATS meetings and contribute to morning discussions.
Complete all necessary paperwork and reports related to completed works.
Evaluate and maintain tool condition, ensuring they are fit for the task at hand.
About You
We are looking for someone with an excellent work ethic, able to handle numerous tasks, and driven to learn. You should have experience in heavy earthmoving or automotive workshop environments.
Key Requirements and Qualifications
Experience in a heavy earthmoving or automotive workshop environment.
Able to perform welding.
Detailed-oriented individual with high attention to detail.
Effective communication skills.
Previous experience with hydraulic cylinder repair and small component rebuilds is preferred but not essential.
Forklift license is also preferred but not required.
