Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Credit and Collections Specialist to join our Finance team.
Your role will focus on ensuring the prompt collection of payment from our extensive customer base, managing customer accounts, reviewing refunds, and providing support with all matters related to Credit and Collections.
Main Responsibilities
- Act on all matters related to managing customer accounts, including collection of cash on accounts, escalations, and documentation of internal and external communications.
- Identify and raise valid disputes on customer accounts with appropriate oversight to resolution.
- Review and approve/decline repayment plans, new accounts, master data changes, refund requests, and write-offs.
- Effectively recommend accounts for pre-legal action and manage the collection of overdue amounts once they reach the pre-legal stage.
- Participate actively in Invoice to Cash-related projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal customers to determine the collection strategy for particular accounts.
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures for Invoice to Cash processes as required.
- Provide guidance and assistance on Invoice to Cash-related matters to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a busy credit collections role handling high volumes of accounts.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of people.
- A confident telephone manner with the ability to put customers at ease.
- Good computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with experience with SAP and Salesforce being an advantage.
- Exceptional organization skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Positive attitude towards implementing change.
- Eager to learn, develop, and progress within the business.
