Job Title: Senior Health and Wellbeing Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Safety and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our People and Education department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees across Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities:
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure daily compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, including those set by WorkSafe, and maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry best practices and legislative changes.
  • Risk Management: Conduct and lead safety audits, risk assessments, and risk control activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Training and Development: Develop and provide training materials to build WHS capability among employees, focusing on topics such as first aid, fire warden, and internal training.
  • Investigations and Reporting: Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication with employees, management, and stakeholders to promote a safety-first culture and ensure effective implementation of WHS strategies.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Previous experience as a Safety professional in a warehouse environment or high-risk industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of relevant state and national WHS legislation in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, prioritisation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
