Senior Test Environment Strategist

Davidson seeks a seasoned professional to lead the build and management of test environments in support of a large-scale migration program.

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Test Environment Strategist to drive the delivery of high-quality testing outcomes within the banking space. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of test environments and facilitating effective collaboration across development, QA, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Environment Oversight: Spearhead the build and end-to-end management of project test environment(s), ensuring they are readily available, properly configured, and aligned with project timelines to support testing schedules.
  • Vendor Management: Closely monitor vendor performance and enforce compliance to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner with development, QA, and project teams to ensure a streamlined test environment process. Facilitate regular communication to address environment-related challenges and minimize delays.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify risks related to test environments and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project delivery.
  • Process Enhancement: Drive ongoing process enhancements for test environment management, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve testing outcomes.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and deliver regular status reports on test environment health, issues, and resolutions to senior management and project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of testing methodologies, environment provisioning, and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet) to effectively manage and optimize test environments.
  • Vendor Management Skills: Experience in managing vendor relationships with a focus on performance oversight and accountability.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
