Job Description
  • Strategic Safety Leadership: Develop, implement, and refine Origin's occupational safety strategy to align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements, ensuring continuous improvement across all safety programs.
  • Governance of Critical Controls and Risk Management: Define, maintain, own, and govern discipline-specific critical controls as part of the Origin Risk Framework, overseeing risk management processes to ensure alignment and consistency across the company.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify emerging safety risks and trends, using data to drive decisions and champion initiatives that mitigate risks, enhance safety performance, and promote innovation in safety practices.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to Health and Safety Advisors, fostering a culture of professional growth, collaboration, and high performance to enhance team capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Influence: Act as a key advisor to senior leadership and business units, influencing decision-making, policy development, and advocating for safety priorities through expert recommendations.
  • Contract and Service Provider Management: Establish, oversee, and manage a panel of service providers to deliver against business requirements in the discipline of Occupational Safety.
What You'll Need
  • 10-15+ years of experience in occupational health and safety management within the energy industry or similar sectors.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant disciplines.
  • Expertise in conducting complex risk assessments and implementing advanced controls for diverse or high-risk environments.
  • High-level leadership skills with the ability to drive HSE culture and influence senior management on safety strategies.
