Procurement Specialist Role OverviewThe Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Global Supply Chain function, collaborating closely with stakeholders to develop and implement procurement best practices.Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Guidance: Provide expert counsel and guidance to Global Business Units on procurement best practices, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Global Commodities Procurement: Support the procurement of essential commodities, including RFQ preparation, tender evaluation, and negotiation assistance.
  • Austin Master Material Control (MMC) Program: Participate actively in the development and implementation of the MMC program, contributing to material requirements planning at both local and global levels.
Mandatory Qualifications & Licences:
  • Degree or Diploma in Procurement and Supply: A degree or diploma from the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or relevant equivalent is highly preferred, complemented by significant functional procurement experience.
  • Min 10 years of Experience: At least 10 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, with considerable exposure to procurement best practice policy, process, procedures, and associated audit guidelines.
Skills & Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Highly proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, with advanced level skills in Excel and Power BI.
  • Pronto ERP Knowledge: Demonstrable understanding of Pronto ERP is considered advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and oral communication skills are essential, along with excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external customers.
