Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

About the Role:

  • Oversight of AIA commitments in accordance with AIC plans.
  • Leadership of procurement, inventory and subcontract management teams.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading our supply chain operations. They will be responsible for ensuring all works are completed in accordance with project AIC plan commitments and/or Procurement targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to incorporate Australian Industry Activity (AIA).
  • Drive continuous improvement of lead times, operating costs and product quality.
  • Research and identify innovative, cost-effective supply chain partners.
  • Lead Procurement and Inventory Control teams to realise just-in-time delivery of equipment.
  • Establish and conduct supplier audits.
  • Maintain relationships with customers, subcontractors, employees and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management / Accounting / Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Certificate IV / Diploma in Procurement and Contracting is favourable.
  • Formal project management training is ideal.
  • 10 years' experience in complex logistics and supply chain management.
  • 10 years' experience in contracts management and negotiation.
  • Experience with Defence Procurement Guidelines and Indigenous Procurement policies is highly favourable.
  • Strong analytical, planning, problem solving and organisation skills.
  • Experience managing and communicating with large teams of people.
  • Demonstrable ability to track supply-chain progress and prepare regular reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or Open Plan Professional.
