Job Title: Environmental Specialist

About The Role:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and be part of a significant open pit mining project in Western Australia. As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and supporting the construction of the West Musgrave Project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the project delivery and construction teams to comply with environmental and cultural heritage obligations.
  • Develop and execute environmental systems for industrial projects, ensuring seamless integration with operational processes.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with regulatory and Mining Agreement obligations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, community groups, and local suppliers.
Applicant Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in environmental management and compliance monitoring within an industrial setting.
  • A strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with teammates, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or work experience in environmental management or a related field.
