Job Description

The role of Environmental Specialist is pivotal in ensuring that our projects meet the highest environmental standards. As a specialist, you will provide expert advice on environmental planning, heritage management, and regulatory compliance.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist advice to support project regulatory approvals
  • Preparing environmental impact assessments, management plans, and planning documents
  • Submitting approval requests for ground disturbance and construction activities
  • Developing GIS mapping, environmental modelling, and disturbance permit plans
  • Integrating environmental requirements into process plant and infrastructure design
  • Supporting HSEQ systems, including works approvals, design criteria reviews, and training
  • Leading and mentoring junior environmental staff
  • Assessing risks (spills, contamination, habitat disruption) and developing contingency plans
  • Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require expertise in environmental planning, heritage management, and regulatory compliance. You will also need excellent communication and project management skills, as well as experience in leading and mentoring junior staff.
