Our team of experts uses their knowledge and skills to enable students to be healthy and successful across the full school experience, from positioning in the classroom to school swimming and extracurricular activities.

Your Role

As a Physiotherapist in the Central Queensland Region, you will play a key role in supporting students with paediatric disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Building knowledge of the physiotherapist role in supporting paediatric disability.
  2. Establishing educational relevant goals with the student and their team.
  3. Developing and delivering innovative evidence-based models of service delivery.
  4. Providing professional development to teachers and teacher aides.
  5. Contributing to regional and statewide physiotherapy teams.
Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Forming strategic partnerships with schools, allied health professionals, and families.
  2. Identifying, assessing, and implementing physiotherapy services relevant to the education setting.
  3. Providing a consultative service to students' teachers, parents, and wider team members.
  4. Participating in specialized projects and sharing practices and resources with other physiotherapists within the department.
  5. Traveling to schools and other locations as required.
