Your RoleAs a Physiotherapist in the Central Queensland Region, you will play a key role in supporting students with paediatric disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building knowledge of the physiotherapist role in supporting paediatric disability.
- Establishing educational relevant goals with the student and their team.
- Developing and delivering innovative evidence-based models of service delivery.
- Providing professional development to teachers and teacher aides.
- Contributing to regional and statewide physiotherapy teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Forming strategic partnerships with schools, allied health professionals, and families.
- Identifying, assessing, and implementing physiotherapy services relevant to the education setting.
- Providing a consultative service to students' teachers, parents, and wider team members.
- Participating in specialized projects and sharing practices and resources with other physiotherapists within the department.
