Leading a Midwifery Unit is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills.

The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of high-quality care to women and their families, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care.

Key aspects of this role include fostering a culture of excellence and innovation, managing staffing and resources efficiently, and ensuring safe and effective service delivery.

To succeed in this position, you will require relevant registration with AHPRA as a Midwife, minimum of 5 years birth unit midwifery clinical care experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to build strong relationships with Obstetricians and Paediatricians.

This includes leading a team, coaching, mentoring and managing change, with a commitment to high standards of patient satisfaction and a proven understanding of Quality and HR systems.
