We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Manager to lead our Adult Day Oncology Unit.

As a key member of our hospital clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational management of the unit.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, while also overseeing the effective management of human, financial, and material resources.

You will work closely with our nursing team to coordinate the delivery of evidence-based nursing care, and provide guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure their success.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will also need to have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams, with a service excellence approach that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Key qualifications include:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Registered Nurse with at least 5 years' experience in an Acute Oncology or Day Infusion setting
  • Demonstrated management or in-charge experience
  • Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach
  • Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
  • Hold EVI-Q credentialling for chemotherapy administration

About the Position

Job Summary:

The Clinical Manager – Oncology is a key leadership role that requires a strong combination of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational management of the Adult Day Oncology Unit, while also driving the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and operational direction for the unit
  • Coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environment
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to staff members
  • Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial, and material resources
  • Undertake direct patient care, as required
