  • This role requires:

  • A valid registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a NSW Registered Nurse – Division 1

  • Tertiary qualifications in management and/or speciality, or significant clinical experience demonstrating ability to perform the role

  • Recent relevant clinical experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD

  • Demonstrated financial management skills and accountabilities, including stock management and budget utilisation

  • Evidenced application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care

  • A proven ability to lead change, resulting in sustained improvements in patient care, throughput, and resource utilisation

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills

In this role, you will lead a dynamic team, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, and driving professional nursing standards across your unit. Coordinating patient care and staff operations, leading with integrity and professionalism, managing team performance and development, advocating for best-practice nursing standards, and innovating to improve patient outcomes.
