Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to design, develop, and deploy reliability SCADA systems for the Starship manufacturing process.

  • Create reliability SCADA systems that integrate deployed equipment into IoT for real-time performance monitoring and ticket generation.
  • Drive investigations and own design improvements for all starship manufacturing tooling focusing on electrical/automation.
  • Lay out new industrial control panels compliant with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A codes and create electrical, pneumatic, and fluid schematics.
  • Develop equipment improvement plans for maintenance strategies and equipment availability to maximize production equipment availability.
  • Solve repetitive or high-consequence failures on critical equipment through Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Design aesthetically simple HMI screens for complex machinery while providing sufficient feedback for troubleshooting.
  • Conduct Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to create proactive reliability programs for critical equipment.
  • Cross-functionally coordinate to drive process improvements, design iterations, and complete equipment overhauls.
  • Integrate with internal tooling, automation, and production teams to ensure maintainability of design is incorporated into new internally designed equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive equipment improvements and organizational efficiency.
