Job Title: Guidance Counsellor

We are seeking a qualified Guidance Counsellor to support and educate elementary, middle and/or high school students through a well-prepared counselling program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an all-encompassing educational and counselling plan with modern methods of teaching and mentoring.
  • Foster equal opportunity practices and encourage students' association.
  • Prioritize cultural or societal differences in dealing with students.
  • Conduct group or individual counselling sessions to assist students with problems or concerns.
  • Assess students' attributes (KSAOs) and help them realise their strengths.
  • Evaluate the progress of students and reinforce the sense of accomplishment.
  • Identify behavioural problems or at-risk students and take appropriate action.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete assessments and tests, analyse results, and provide feedback.
  • Update student records and prepare progress reviews.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a guidance counsellor or teacher.
  • Integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work with diverse student personalities and backgrounds.
  • Education in teaching models, counselling best practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • MA degree in school or guidance counselling; guidance counselling credentials are essential.
