Academic Leader in Counselling Discipline

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Lecturer to join our Counselling team at the Australian College of Applied Professions. The successful candidate will teach and lead students in our Bachelor and Master of Counselling programs, contributing to the development of innovative course materials and providing academic guidance to staff.
About the Role:
- Teach students to become real-world-ready counsellors, instilling intellectual curiosity and ethical practice.
- Collaborate with senior academic staff to develop and refine course materials, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience.
- Contribute to scholarly research projects, enhancing expertise and advancing knowledge in the Counselling field.
- Provide academic leadership, offering guidance and support to promote excellence in teaching and learning.
- Participate in discipline meetings, shaping the future of Counselling education.
- Empower students with valuable guidance on study skills, equipping them for success.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years lecturing experience in the Counselling discipline.
- Masters of Counselling and/or PhD.
- Minimum 5 years industry practice in the Counselling field, showcasing real-world expertise.
- Eligibility for membership of ACA, PACFA, or APS with extensive Counselling unit teaching experience.
- Demonstrated passion for nurturing the next generation of counsellors through exceptional teaching and mentorship.
- A dedicated approach to advancing your academic career in Counselling.
