Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our board of directors. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization and contributing to our mission of protecting the environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in corporate governance, environmental campaigning, or a related field. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, be able to work collaboratively with others, and demonstrate a commitment to upholding our values and mission.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing guidance on strategic direction and decision-making
  • Reviewing and advising on financial and operational performance
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the organization
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including supporters, donors, and partners

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring expertise in fundraising, finance, and research and/or scientific literacy. However, all applications from qualified individuals are encouraged.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated track record of success in leadership and governance roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to commit to approximately 15-20 hours per month
