About the Role

Mars Recruitment Australia is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to fill a 3-month locum position in a rural setting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families in a remote community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver culturally respectful care to children aged 0-7 years.
  • Promote best practices in paediatric speech therapy and early childhood development.
  • Utilize service prioritization tools to meet clinical service demands based on individual needs.
  • Support clients, families, and caregivers across their healthcare journey by providing thorough assessments, timely referrals, and coordinated care.
  • Ensure effective intake, prioritisation, and service delivery in accordance with the health board's framework, with consideration of socio-economic factors.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
  • Current SPA registration.
  • Experience working with paediatric clients and understanding of NDIS frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and community services.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills to manage intake, referrals, and follow-up care.
  • WWCC check for South Australia.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Recent National Police Certificate.
  • Immunization proof for COVID-19.
