
Carpentry Training and Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpentry Trainer and Assessor to join our team.
About the Role:The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, preparing, delivering, and assessing vocational education and training programs in carpentry. They will also be required to research and adapt innovative learning practices and delivery options to enhance the program area's capacity to meet the learning needs of students.
Main Responsibilities:- Program Design and Delivery: Develop and deliver high-quality vocational education and training programs in carpentry, ensuring they meet the requirements of relevant standards and regulations.
- Training and Assessment: Conduct workplace training and assessment for students in line with RTO policy and the stated delivery method on a day-to-day basis.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with other trainers and assessors to develop and review curriculum materials, including learning resources, assessment tools, and delivery plans.
- Student Support: Provide support to students to ensure they achieve their learning goals, including setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- A Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent).
- A Certificate IV Training and Assessment (we can assist with this if you don't already have this qualification).
- Industry Work History: At least 2 years' experience working in the trade industry, preferably in a training or assessment role.
- Skill and Qualification Requirements: Proven ability to plan and organise training, set priorities, and meet deadlines, as well as maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and technologies.
