Workshop Operations Manager/Estimator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our day-to-day workshop operations. This pivotal role is responsible for business growth while ensuring workshop production efficiency, safety compliance, and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily workshop operations, leading and supervising tradespeople and assistants to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Work closely with customers on all business development opportunities, including on-site measuring and quoting of new projects.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and to specification, maintaining high levels of quality and productivity.
  • Commitment to OH&S standards and practices, fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Advanced planning skills, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and reports, and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and construction.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a strong focus on outcomes and team performance.
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge in sheet metal fabrication, including advanced planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and motivate others, with a passion for continuous improvement.
