Are you a skilled Boilermaker or Metal Fabricator looking to join a well-established workshop with a strong pipeline of work? Galaxy Personnel is seeking reliable, qualified, and motivated Boilermakers / Metal Fabricators to become an integral part of our busy team. This is a hands-on role offering a wide variety of tasks, an excellent hourly rate, and the opportunity for long-term employment.

About the Role :

You'll be based in our fully equipped workshop, working on a range of fabrication and welding projects involving structural steel , stainless steel , and mechanical components. We're looking for someone who is competent in MIG and TIG welding and thrives in both light and heavy fabrication environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Heavy Fabrication Tasks :

Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Fabricate and assemble heavy structural steel components

Perform MIG (GMAW), FCAW welding, plasma, and oxyacetylene cutting

Use thermal cutting, flame heating, and preheating tools

Ensure all work complies with OHS and quality standards

Light Fabrication Tasks :

Weld and assemble lighter gauge components such as Stainless steel

Operate press brake, pipe bender, croppers, bandsaws, and related tools

Perform TIG (GTAW), MIG, and MMAW welding

Contribute to a clean, safe, and efficient workshop

What We're Looking For :

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent as a minimum ( Australian Recognised)

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team

Good communication skills – verbal and written

A current driver's licence or reliable transport to the workshop
