Steel Fabrication and Welding Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to establish job requirements.

You will plan work sequences, select and prepare metal stock, carry out trial fits for mechanical and structural assemblies, weld, fabricate, and assemble steel works, pipe works, and other mechanical and structural works.

A key aspect of this role is preparing material for welding, cutting, or fabrication, grinding, drilling, deburring, and fastening using hand tools. Additionally, you will examine, use, and maintain tools and equipment safely.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification
  • At least 2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of Work Health Safety (WHS) protocols
