Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced welding supervisor to oversee the fabrication of structural steel components for major infrastructure projects. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supervising a team of welders and performing welding tasks in our workshop and on-site.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in structural-steel welding and hold a recognised Welding Supervisor qualification. They will also possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate welding activities, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Weld and fabricate steel components in accordance with approved procedures and drawings.
  • Prepare, align and assemble metal sections using hand tools, flame cutters and measuring instruments.
  • Inspect and finish welds (filing, grinding, polishing) to meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate third-party NDT inspections and review reports.
  • Troubleshoot technical welding issues with engineers and project managers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Recognised Welding Supervisor qualification.
  • Extensive experience in structural-steel welding.
  • Valid General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Current driver's license with reliable transport.
  • Current forklift licence.
  • Tig and MIG welding experience, especially stainless steel and aluminum welding.
